Security forces have killed a ‘wanted terrorist’ in district Dera Ismail Khan in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, according to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
The wanted terrorist, Hakim, had held six civilians hostage for ‘ulterior motives’, the ISPR said, adding that he was armed with automatic weapons and grenades. 220;All hostages have been rescued by the security forces,” the ISPR said, adding that four security forces personnel received injuries during the operation. The security forces conducted the intelligence-based operation in Daraban area of Dera Ismail Khan under the ongoing Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad.
Reports said the killed terrorist belonged to the outlawed Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).
