LAHORE: Fire engulfed a local cinema in Garhi Shahu area of Lahore on Tuesday afternoon.
According to sources, the fire broke out in Taj Cinema due to a short circuit in the building and reportedly damaged a large part of the building. No casualties have been reported so far and fire fighters are trying to overcome and put out the fire. The furniture of the cinema however had been burned down completely.
Sources said that at the time of the fire break out, there was no show being run in the cinema and there were no audiences or staff present inside the cinema. A large number of people gathered outside the cinema to watch skyrocketing flames which added difficulties to the fire extinguishing activities of the fire brigade department.
