ISLAMABAD: Shaking hand in his traditional rhythm, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chief Imran Khan on Saturday said that every person who thinks himself as insurmountable has to hold himself/herself accountable before a superior power (God) as ‘every powerful/corrupt person had been awarded punishment by that hid court ultimately’.
He shared these remarks while addressing Ulema and Mashaikh conference at Golra Sharif, a renowned shrine in Islamabad have massive following in a religious school of thought.
While lashing ousted and convicted prime minister Nawaz Sharif, Khan said that Allah had bestowed him many opportunities to serve the country fortunately, but he did nothing to develop the country.
“Allah has his own rules in his empire and he awards accordingly. So, Allah conferred Nawaz with huge respect but unfortunately he did not deliver these blessings”, he criticized.
Keeping in view the scarcity of the place and mob around him, Khan focused more on religious lines and advices throughout his speech instead pointing on his political rivals. He said that when someone leaves to obey teaching of Allah and his messengers, has to be punished eventually.
Citing example of holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), the PTI chief claimed “if Allah gives us chance (to come in power), will establish the country a welfare state like holy Prophet made to Madina in which all people could be treated as an equal”, adding that he wished the state wherein a lowest income person could also contest the elections to lead the country.
Khan said also said that he intends the state where the public exchequer would spend only on masses instead to send it abroad in form of money laundering and corruption.
However, PTI chief could not refrain himself to lash on Sharifs during speech, he said that Nawaz Sharif sent Rs 300 billion abroad would have been hold accountable before law and sovereignty of the country while he (Nawaz) used to tell lies to the nation.
While criticizing Nawaz sons, Khan said that when Nawaz was questioned about the fraudenty money he sent to his sons, he declared them non-Pakistani citizens.
Not only this, Khan also did not spare PML-N supporters who stood with the party in each circumstance, asking them “do you people don’t have to accountable before Allah”.
He lamented that 25 million children are still out of schools in the country while many more lacked access to basic nutrition even. “If we want to pull the country of this quagmire we will have to run it in a way it has never been run before,” the PTI chief said.
Khan urged religious scholars to do play their role to unite the nation and block the way of corrupt practices as, he said, this is only survival of the country.
He demanded that the Raja Zafarul Haq committee report on now-withdrawn controversial amendments in Khatm-e-Nabuwwat oath should be published so that it could be known as who did the government want to please by hatching such a conspiracy.
